Product Details
Honoring one of the new saints, this St. Pier Giorgio Frassati prayer card measures 2-1/2 by 4-1/2 inches and is laminated to can take a lot of use. It features lovely Fratelli-Bonella Italian artwork with gold accents. The front of the holy card has an image of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati. The back has a “Prayer to Walk with St. Pier Giorgio Frassati.” Written by the Cardinal Giovanni Saldarini, Archbishop of Turin in 1932. Born in Turin, Italy in 1901, Pier Giorgio Frassati grew up to follow in St. Paul’s footsteps and join the Lay Dominicans. As his family did, he fought Fascism literally and otherwise by participating in demonstrations in Rome organized by the Catholic Church to fight Fascism. Pier Giorgio Frassati contracted illness in his work to serve the poor and died July 4, 1925. He is now buried in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist church in Turin, Italy.
